Opposite for lunch

Ya u try, the school can just try. AND they will see how many students standing up to have their lunch bc the canteen is TOo small, JUST BC of that rule!!! How are we gonna eat huh ? As the school can see, when school put up this rule, many argument and disagree. So that means the rule is unreasonable AND rediculous !!! Well is so UNFAIR like one parent complain smt and the school had to change the rule and pull every students down ?? The parent can just spent 5 min to teach he/her child instead of taking away our freedom!! Spent that 5 min lah ok... well our parents can also go complain since the school think that the words from parents is a MUST .. i just think that the school is trying to be fake and REALLY FAKE !! Is it really good for us ? Ist really fair for us !?

Well, I think it is 1000000% UNFAIR to have this rule. As a Zhonghua student, I think the school is just trying to fake to let parents have the wrong concept that Zhonghua Secondary is a 'Five-star school'. For example, 2E4 classroom is the only class on 2nd level thanks to a parent's complain.(not to say that it is as bad this rule we have been talking about) This is SO REDICULOUS! So, PLEASE, REMOVE THIS RULE!

Yes we finally did it!! Yay we got 889 people backing our backs tgt as one, and that's quite a nice thought. Yeah but on the serious note, I guess this rule is ridiculous to a certain extent. However if the school takes measures and adjusts the rules, such as adding more lunch Time or replacing the old or missing Tables and benches or even allocating different timing of lunches for upper and lower sec, instead of abolishing the rule, I actually won't mind. I mean it'll be reasonable, so i don't see why not. But hopefully the school would remove the rule, so as to make the rest of the students happy, and if the school would not wish to spend extra money on such measures, I Guess removing the rule would be a generally better choice for everyone.

I disagree on this... it is although a bad thing to go out before activities but it is also good as the time for activities may be late and they have nothing to do so going out is fine

Really ZhongHua? haha you claim that this rule was implemented because of parent's complain, for our safety. If it really was for our safety, have you considered about our health? Isn't it also included in our safety you seem to "care" a lot? :-) we don't even have enough time to eat. you said that the vendors will prepare more food. maybe for the secondary 1s they have enough food because they end school earlier. but i bet you do not notice that they're cohort is WAY WAY bigger than ours. Thus, obviously they will finish the food way faster right? We upper sec, ends school at 2. Teachers may not let us off earlier because they have admin stuff to settle which is understandable. By the time we pack finish our bags, some even needs to go toilet because some unreasonable teachers do not allow us to go for just a short toilet break even if we tell them that its urgent. we would finish all these around 2.15. GREAT!! 15 mins left to eat, walking to canteen, finding a place to sit and put our bags in a canteen filled with secondary ones :-) Queueing up takes already 10 mins+ 2.25. EVEN BETTER 5 mins left to eat!!! Only dogs can eat that fast. lol. Now we walk back to class. 2.35? Teachers be like '30MINS BREAK NOT ENOUGH AH GO PICNIC ISIT" TROLOLOLOL. We have no time to go to the toilet because we are rushing. *raises hand* "Teacher can i go toilet?" "DIDNT YOUR BREAK END 10 MINS AGO?? NO" WELL MAYBE I DIDNT HAVE TO GO TO THE TOILET FREAKING 10MINS AGO OMG FML. Not only that, when we are late for assembly, you guys just ask all of us to stay back for recess. won't that cut down our time to eat even worse? i know punctuality is important but you guys can settle it another way instead of asking us to stay back right? And try not to make the whole cohort stay back when its clearly one or some classes's fault. OVERALL, I HOPE YOU THE PRINCIPAL WILL THINK ABOUT OUR STUDENTS WELFARE. PLEASE TAKE DOWN THIS RULE. 1. If the basis of why this rule was implemented is that students are late for their extra lessons after having lunch outside school, then this rule will not really solve the problem. The problem is that students are late for classes, the school should focus on instilling more responsibility in them so they'll be more punctual. This rule only helps solve the problem on a surface level and in no way gets to the root of the problem as it does not help to make the students more punctual. 2. If so many people are queueing up for food all the time, the queues are going to be very long and some people may not even have the time to queue for food and eat before extra lessons start, hence, causing them to be late or having to skip their lunches, which will, in turn, have repercussions as well.

Even the snack stall aunty also very tired. She say she make waffle until her hand pain you still want her to work overtime? She still have to make sushi and her homemade lor mai gei. Please be more considerate and think about others.

It's not really the students fault, it's because some of the parents of sec one students complain to the school thus the school enforced the rule.

lolll this is probably one of the most stupid rules i've ever heard. firstly, have you seen the size of our canteen ? you expect us to squeeze FIVE cohorts in there ? lol even when you allowed us to eat outside sch, there's alr not enough seats and tables for us students to sit down and eat. then how about everyone staying in sch ? isn't that worse ? we students still have to queue. we only have 30 mins to eat as ssp starts at 230 do you think its even possible to eat before ssp ??? and even if we decide to eat aft ssp, most of the canteen stalls wld alr be close and even if they're open, the food that they sell is alr v limited. and which zhonghua students wld actually want to eat school food twice EVERY DAY ?????? lol secondly, if it's because of that ONE parent who complained that students shld not be allowed to eat out, then why can't you just ask the child of that parent to stay in sch instead of making 1000 students suffer ? because of that ONE child the whole sch has to stay in sch. isn't that unreasonable !!!!!??? this is not even like a school, more like a prison. hm if just by walking to nex or walking opp sch is so dangerous then how about those students who come to sch themselves don't come to sch ? i mean it's so dangerous to cross the road right ? and why must us students suffer in that prison while the teachers can go out and eat freely and enjoy themselves when we have to be stuck eating the same food EVERY SINGLE DAY !? thirdly, staying in sch for 7 hrs a day studying is alr tiring enough. i bet students are counting down on when they can leave the sch because they are so tired. BUT some of us still have ssp esp the upper sec who have ssp EVERY SINGLE DAY and even aft ssp we still have CCA !!!! don't we need a break outside of sch instead of seeing the same walls for another 4 hrs !!!???? CCAs itself is alr so stressful as we have syf, UG have their own tests, and PAG have so many competitions. [ i really don't understand why upper sec needs to

It is just fair. I mean eating the same at the same place everyday for 4/5 years is just plain boring.

I find that this is unreasonable. The school food isn't even enough for me to consume after school. Sometimes teacher had to hold me back and when i reached the canteen, most of the stalls already started cleaning up. If more food can be cooked and last for for more people, I will find it slightly more reasonable.

I find this new school rule really unnecessary. Firstly, they say that it is suppose to help us to save money. A combo at 7-11 oppsite is only $2 and it comes with a drink. In school, if we want to include a drink in our meal, it will most likely accede $2. Also, i believe that us students aged 13 to 17 can be trusted to cross the road ourselves to go oppsite to eat , be it the bbt shop, kopitiam, 7-11 or nex as all it takes is for us to cross the road at the traffic light. I do not think that it is fair for us to be punished just because of some students jaywalking. This is not a reasonable way to solve the problem of jaywalking. Perhaps the school could just take disciplinary actions on those who jaywalk instead of punish the whole school. If we cannot be trusted to just cross the road to eat, why not get a school bus service or something for us to fetch us to and from the school asi believe going home takes more than crossing a road. If some parents are afraid of their children getting injured or somthing, why not they tell their children themselves instead. Why even punish the whole school? I dont get it at all.

If the canteen is too packed,there should be alternatives for students to buy food.Sometimes,there will also be shortage of food if the students are not fast enough.Hence,i suggest allowing students to eat out of school ocassionally(not all the time) as it is a good idea which considers the standpoint of the opposition and the proposition,where students should not be allowed to eat at Nex or the nearby blocks as the school personnel are responsible for their safety and the stall holders in the school canteen also need to do their business;and where students should be allowed to do so that the canteen is not too packed and that they can have more choices of food.

there is no reason why students shouldn't go out to eat. i mean as long as they don't skip after-school lessons/activities, it's fine for them to take a break and go out for lunch. they are secondary school students. they know how to take care of themselves. if some of them get injured etc. while outside of school, it isn't the school's fault because they are the ones who choose to go outside and eat. unless something serious pops up like them skipping lessons, the school should allow them to go out and eat. from: someone who's not from zhonghua

canteen will be super packed as those that have SSP , CCA & those that wanna stay bk in sch to have lunch before going home will be in the canteen therefore queues might be long & packed

I believe that there are many students in our school, that has been very responsible and not taken the freedom for granted. Our school have many good students who, leaves school for lunch, and return safely, and promptly for SSP/CCA. If this rule is implemented, it is quite discouraging.
