Strongly opposed. The present infrastructure in this area cannot even accommodate for the existing development (traffic, schools, playgrounds, etc). How can The City of Vaughan even fathom that this development is even possible?? What if The City Of Vaughan thought about taking care of their existing residents? Really, where is the Urban Development Committee? 60 Hunterwood Chase

I oppose this development. Density is much too high for the existing infrastructure to handle. 239 Athabasca Drive, Maple Ontario L6A 3R9

60 Athabasca Drive: We strongly oppose to the granting of approval for the proposed amended plan for smaller lots/increased density from 410 residential units to 526 units. • Smaller lots, as proposed, are not compatible with the existing developed communities in the immediate area, and this proposed higher density does not add or enhance the quality of the residential environment. • This proposed higher density would most probably increase street parking, resulting in highly congested streets in that development, and a risk to children’s safety. • There is no public transportation on Dufferin Street at/near the area of approved development so there will be a direct negative impact on traffic: The approved existing plan potentially adds (at minimum) 410 vehicles to the existing bottleneck/parking lot which is Dufferin Street. The proposed plan for higher density would add (at minimum) 526 vehicles. These numbers are on the basis of one vehicle per residential unit. Potentially, the number of vehicles per unit and flowing onto Dufferin could be much higher. • The existing infrastructure as is already cannot safely support Dufferin-communities. Dufferin Street is a conduit for traffic to/from communities north of King Road and east/west of Dufferin Street. It cannot reasonably absorb additional traffic during rush hours. With the exception of a few hours/day, making a left hand turn onto Dufferin Street, from a side street or exit where there is no traffic light, places motorists in peril. The City of Vaughan must look to improve the quality of residential environment for existing as well as new developments. We are not aware of any plan for road widening on Dufferin Street (except for south of Marc Santi in the future). We therefore have no expectation that the existing congestion/volume of traffic will be alleviated at any time soon. We ask that you do not add to what is already an overburdened area. Let’s not amend to add more. In co

Strongly opposed! What is the point of the "Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Act" if it doesn't protect what it states to protect?
