Silver creek has a similar primary/intermediate model. Their most recent school grade is "D" for both elementary schools. Jonathan Jennings has been an "A" school for 5 years in a row. Why would we chance getting a lower score by reconfiguring? What we have now is obviously working!

This makes no sense at all. We are creating a solution to a problem that doesn't exist and unreasonably spending tax-payers dollars on nothing. I am a reasonable man, but I can't think of one logical reason why this would make sense.

i believe change is a good thing but they way its trying to be done is the worst way rethink it threw then lets see what plans there aare but to just wipe out and start all over is crazy not mention a lot of that money could be used else were but there are so many back door deals with politicians its hard to say who really has good intentions and who is in it for the money not to mention I bet everyone in the city/town taxes will go up in one way or another just poor planning motivated by money hungry politicians

Slow down, let's see how growth plays out in the next few years.
A complete reconfiguration of Charlestown may be under way in near future. The current situation is definitely temporary, however in order to make the decisions moving forward concerning the schools we must first see more population growth, where the development is located and how the road systems are impacted. Only then can the best most informed decisions be made as to where to build the new schools....yes schools! Both JJ and PR must go.

What is the sense of urgency . This community will be growing in the next 5 to 7 years. I think that this needs to be thought through. The things that need to be thought about are transportation, Technology in the intermediate grades, Peer leadership , and the sports programs.
Can one school support the technology infrastructure that is needed during the ISTEP window?

I believe this should not be done because this is STRICTLY POLITICAL and money based. Many of us strived with the current school system set up and there was never an issue of jealousy amongst schools or competition.

No true reason to validate this change and admin has yet to meet with parents to address our concerns. Instead we were assigned rooms with no one to address our questions. We did this model already and moved away from it because it wasn't what was best for our kids

I have bad experience with pr, not pleasing nor a place I would recommend anyone to go to... I had very pleasant experience with JJ and two thumbs up to all the workers in JJ... If I need to go deep I can't be reached through my email.

We love the Charlestown community! I have talked to many people at Silver Creek elementary, and looked at their testing scores, and feel we are better the way we are. PR and JJ have both been very successful and I feel we shouldn't fix something that's not broken!

Children attended Pleasant Ridge before transferring to Jonathan Jennings due to bullying. It was the right choice to make. Jonathan Jennings has made a big difference in my kids growth.

There is no reason to put a bandage on the situation get it right the first time. Silver Creek has shown you what not to do and you are going to do it anyway.
