judges need to complete refresher courses like ukc does. they are and akc is only for the monies. expensive and too many shows! vote it down and spread the word to AKC!!!

It is very important that the Judges are well versed in every breed that they judge to insure the continued quality of the Breed and breeding stock, Intelligence should be more important than wealth wealth

This proposal is all about quantity, not quality of judging. Assuming that "more" judges will solve the clubs' economic problems is short-sighted.

i also believe to help the sport maintain a sense of credibility. Judges should be held accountable for their decesion and give either a quick verbal or written reason as to why they have made the choices they have. It will be clearer to exhibitors at that point whether or not said judge has a different perspective or simply no understanding of the breed being judged.

The AKC system has always been known for turning out quality judges, and, having lived with a more liberal system, and seen the lack of quality produced by your neighbors to the north, I implore you to leave your system as it is.

As I was not given the opportunity to participate in the original survey( in spite of nearly 40 years / over 75 AKC Champions bred) I am weighing in here.

The entire judges systems needs to be overhaulled, if you have been breeding or exhibiting for more than ten years, you should be able to apply. For me i would like to see people have to apply for the entire group. Best in show judges should have at least three groups.
