Yule is a sacred holiday to many people and should not be allowed to be trademarked.

How did someone even think to try to do this? This is a ridiculous idea, as there are sooo many products available for Yule. It's a holiday. How can you trademark the name of a holiday? Obviously, I'm extremely opposed to this.

I honestly cant even believe we have to petition this. No one person or company can have full trademark over a sacred word used for many purposes. Basically the company that is trying to do this is making a monopoly. Over a full season. They are trying to take away any competition from smaller businesses. Its beyond wrong. To take away the ability for any other business owner to properly advertise their own product is nuts. For example, it would be like trying to trademark the words "Holiday collection" in the cosmetic world or fashion design. Not to mention Yule is used in many other industries. "yule log" another example. Many companies sell them are they trying to demand them too to stop using the word Yule ? I can see if it was a certain perfume with a distinct name like "yule mountain oil" Ok, but Yule in general?? No..

Yule is a holiday celebrated by many each year. It's not a perfume.

A time of year can't be trademarked, it would be like trade marking summer or Halloween?

Yule belongs to everyone, keep it that way.

Not right for one company or a single entity to have copyright over this word.

It's too old a word. Public domain. You can't own it.

It's a holiday - no one should be able to trademark it... use your holiday.

It is the same as trade marking "Holiday Scent". It limits what has been commonly used just as the yellow happy face was when Walmart tried to do

Yule is an ancient holiday- to trademark that for a perfume is ridiculous.

This is ridiculous... Yule isn't a company name... it's a feeling a sense and for most a very important time of the year...

Gee...is someone going to try and trademark "Christmas" too? Utterly ridiculous

Don't be like that. I mean really. Most people don't even know that Yule is pagan -_-

Noone owns holidays. Not in name. Not in spirit. Not at all. Ours will not be the first.
