This is a word still in common use in the United States and abroad as Yule, and Jul. It should not be eligible for trademark.

The word Yule should not be trademarked as a product name for anything. If Christmas would not be trademarked as a product, then Yule should not either.

You cannot trademark a holiday! That's like trying to trademark Christmas or Easter. This whole thing is ridiculously idiotic.

What's next? Are we going to allow Halloween, Christmas, Easter all to be trademarked? This is pretty ridiculous and I would gladly boycott any company that would attempt to do this.

Putting a trademark on the word Yule is like putting a trademark on the word Christmas! This can't happen!!

delete Why anyone is allowed to trademark words that have been around for thousands of years is beyond me. Why anyone would want to try to trademark a pagan holy day is not only beyond me, but despicable as all get out. The fact that the patent offices are actually considering allowing this is disgusting. The fact that this action has even been initiated is thoroughly unbelievable.

"Yule" is a sacred term in our faith. Not a brand name.

Yule or Yuletide ("Yule time") is a festival observed by the historical Germanic peoples. Scholars have connected the celebration to the Wild Hunt, the god Odin, and the pagan Anglo-Saxon Mōdraniht. IT is my religious and spiritual beliefs, not just some trademark perfume that smells bad.

The term "Yule" is NOT for sale. Nor should it ever be.

This is a ridiculously blatant attempt at monetizing my religion for a cash grab. No one would consider allowing the name of a holiday belonging to any other religion to be trademarked, this should be unequivocally rejected

if trademarking the word "Yule" by anyone or anything the next up would be to trademark "easter" "Christmas" etc--this is a holiday word used by many and should not be trademarked by a company to get more sales etc

Holiday names are just that, and should be open to anyone
