The ‘person’ applying for the trade mark of the word ‘Yule’ must be delusional as this is a word that is centuries old.

I celebrate Yule as an annual holiday. No one should be able to trademark Christmas, Halloween or Yule which is the Winter Solstice.

I don't think anyone can trademark Yule. It's just ludicrous.

The words Yule and Yuletide has been around longer than Christmas. It's like laying claim to the word Moon or Sun. It can't and shouldn't be done!

I've been wishing folks a cool yule since I was a teen and I'm in my 50's! Come on now! What about Pagans? It's our holiday and we're not trying to trademark it!

How in the world can you trade mark a holiday?? It is not a product, scent or possession. It is a recognized holiday. As for it being used as a name for a scent example, that just tells me it is a seasonal blend with the scents associated with the holiday Yule. Would you trademark Pine? Of course not, it is associated with a tree.

I am opposing this because it is like someone trademarking Christmas or Thanksgiving. You cannot trademark a holiday!

This should not be allowed. This is a high holiday that many honor. Trademarking this term is not acceptable.

As far as the trademarking of the word Yule, I do not think this is a proper thing to do! It is a holiday! Pagan, yes, but a holiday none the less!! If "Christmas" or the word "react" cannot be used as a trademark because they are "everyday-use/holiday" words, then neither should "Yule" be allowed to be trademarked. I sure as heck will NEVER pay anyone for the ability to use a word that is part of MY religion! And there are millions of Pagans that feel the same way!

I am opposed to any trademarking of Holiday names for the purpose of business profiteering.
