Oppose Water Reservoir 2020

1) I have resided near Carriage Green Park for 25 years. The proposed construction of a water reservoir and booster pump at this location in inappropriate and unsuitable. I oppose this proposed construction. 2) The proposed construction will take up part of an existing and established Vernon Hills Park District park used by residents. 3) No doubt there are other suitable locations within Vernon Hills for this proposed construction.

I STRONGLY oppose this reservoir to be placed near our park. This is a beautiful , little park and sanctuary that most residents use and enjoy for daily walks for themselves and their pets. There are other suitable hard scape alternatives that can be used without having to destroy any more NATURE!

Do not build it please!

Please find another location.

I find it singularly disappointing that the County is even still considering the Carriage Green Park as a site for a reservoir. Two years ago, a County board member represented that the County would remove that site from consideration. Needless to say, this apparent backtracking puts the County in an extremely unflattering light.

I am against having the reservoir in the park at Grosse Pointe Cir park.

I strongly oppose.

I oppose. The homeowners in our community enjoy this park and do not want to have it marred by an unsightly reservoir. This water reservoir would be detrimental to our residential community, and a different location should be found.

I oppose! Our property values will be negatively impacted and nature will be destroyed in the process.

I oppose because of the negative impact to the value of our homes. Erect the reservoir in a non-residential location.

I enjoy the park and have been lucky enough to see butterflies, yellow finishes, sparrows, doves, and hawks. I live right in the neighborhood . The park is walking distance from my home. I live in Lake County. Going to the park is the most beautiful part of my day. My son also enjoyed seeing the Monarch butterflies.

I oppose. There are other locations where this reservoir can go. By building it in the park will ruin not only the aesthetic, but also reduce the value of the surrounding properties. This does not align with the "..a place where all people, families, and businesses have an opportunity to thrive" because it will reduce park space and have a negative impact on the environment.

This will not look good in our community and will have a negative impact on property value. I oppose.

This will diminish our property values significantly we do not need this on top of our little Park!

I am opposed to the building of the water reservoir.

I prefer parks, pick another location away from parks and existing residential areas.
