I am a Lake County employee. I am very surprised and opposed to having the Lake County Public Work build a Water Reservoir at Carriage Green Park. Before my illness, I would walk my dogs there. Please build it elsewhere.

A park in the residential area is definitely not a good idea for a reservoir. This park is only location here where kids, adults, senior stroll and play. It will adversely effect the beauty of the place and will be great eyesore.

To even consider building this new water facility in this particular location is ridiculous. The city of Vernon Hills should be expanding Carriage Green Park to implement more park friendly attractions. It's the only park option that's within the neighborhood and it should be protected and expanded, not erased and replaced. I suggest building more trees, paths, enclosed fencing areas for neighborhood dogs to run around, etc. I suggest investing more efforts, time & money into evolving the present value that the current park brings to everyone instead of replacing it with a water facility that doesn't belong. I strongly disagree with removing Carriage Green Park. I don't even live in the neighborhood, but visit people there who do. I believe in the value of the park's existence as a whole & enjoy it. Plus, there's a lot of memories/dedications that people left on tree placards that would be disrespectful to just remove.

Please don't construct big water reservoir close to beautiful residential area and keep the beauty of the surrounding. We hope the authority will understand the fellings of the resident.
