I have worked next door to similar establishments and the number of issues which occurred are far too numerous to document here with very few being socially positive.

This is not the right area for a home such as this. It is a quiet residential area, these children will be roaming the streets as G4 will not be able to keep them in the house all of the time and this is asking for trouble.

Nuthall is a quiet residential area and should remain so! This proposal to allow children from troubled backgrounds to stay in the area must be opposed! These children will be wandering around looking for things to steal or damage for gain or for entertainment. G4S may give say that they will be heavily supervised but these assurances won’t be worth the paper they are written on!

Totally inappropriate location for this proposal. Middle of a residential area, and next to a busy and dangerous traffic island. In addition group 4 have shown themselves to be incompetent at running these types of homes.

There are better locations for this - placing this unit in a quiet, residential area where there is nothing to do to interest the inhabitants of this home is just inviting troublemaking instigated by boredom.

It’s simply the wrong place. I completely understand the need for these homes, but unfortunately they do bring a significant amount of trouble to the area if not managed correctly, and G4S don’t have a good reputation for good management. I used to live on Tewkesbury Drive in Basford opposite Aidan House, and on a day to day basis there was loud music blaring out of the windows, lads in cars sat outside, cars speeding up and down the road, guys fighting outside the house etc. To be honest, in Basford it’s kind of expected, but it’s not expected in Nuthall.

This proposal is in totally the wrong place. My own children have grown up in the area and during that time we have been a taxi service to them as we have no regular bus service. Children need stimulation . There is nothing to do around here. Will the staff ferry the children to and fro?

the wrong location, if alot of cars are going to be coming and going then it will cause problems on an already congested roundabout and island. Nothing to do for children around there. There is not a lot of faith in the company running the proposed home, and the way they have gone about things.

The proximity of the house to a main bus route causes concerns that any absconders from the home will have easy access to a wide area. The property does not have adequate space for the 9-10 cars to turn round which will cause them to have to reverse onto an busy and often gridlocked mini roundabout. Any visitors to the residents will be forced to park on Roland Ave which already has limited on street parking.
