Oppose the Falmouth Marriott

The location of this hotel would affect the downtown traffic

We do not need a big chain hotel in downtown Falmouth, and why wouldn't they revamp the existing Falmouth Inn instead?

No! Wrong project for our beautiful Falmouth village!

We are opposed to this Marriott Hotel project for east Main Street, Falmouth. The birds eye view should be shown to reveal how close it comes to Lantern Lane folks!

The proposed structure is too large for the existing site and may influence the ground water table and property values of surrounding residential properties in a negative way.

I oppose the Marriott Hotel in this particular location. Why not somewhere else in Falmouth?

This building is completely insensitive to the context of its environment. As Falmouth inevitably grows, lets take seriously our responsibility to keep our town lovely, distinctive, and unique. Please don't give in to the impersonal pressures of development dollars that place no premium on who and what we are.

I don't want to see Falmouth become a Cape town like Yarmouth. Please do not approve this project.

I have lived in Falmouth for forty years as a full time resident. I am NOT an abutter but know the town well and as a result believe that this type of building (and (enterprise) does not fir with the character of the town. I believe it violates lot coverage and parking space regulations and does not follow the town planning guidelines establish to prevent this type of development. I believe that the area in question can be developed at a smaller scale (perhaps half the size) that matches the character of the town and of the local community but not at this scale.

This scale of this project is much too large for the proposed site.

Troy Clarkson's research was a welcome addition to the already strong case in opposition to this development.

Town should now be digging further into issues brought to light in Troy Clarkson's article, eh?

The beauty of this city would be ruined if building were to be built.

This project is completely out of scale and involves both sides of Falmouth's busiest thoroughfare.

Falmouth already has enough rooms to support our visitors. Keep packing them in like sardines and our quaint village will become a place where people will not want to visit and enjoy. Why ruin a good thing?

It is too congested as it is now. Thumbs down on this project.

I find it ridiculus that one of the commissioners compared this building to Royal Nursing Home. That building does not have occupants who are coming and going all through evening hours as a hotel does. We as tax payers are allowed to have our homes cover 20 % of our land and they want to cover almost 80% of this lot. This building"s size is much too large.

The Marriott Structure takes away from the charm of Falmouth.

Th Marriott proposed is too big for the congested and historic site. It would degrade the neighborhood. They need to find another place for the hotel.
