Our community has spoken. This development is the wrong size, in the wrong location. People live and travel here to enjoy the small scale and natural beauty of Falmouth. We welcome smart growth for a sustainable, healthy town. This project does not meet that criteria on a number of levels.

How does this fall under affordable housing? Who will be there during the winter months. Build an attractive hotel in the spirit and historical continuity of our community. One whose size is purposeful and appropriate and character blends in like Inn on the Square.

I am concerned that having a large hotel right on Main St. in Falmouth would irrevocably change the small town feel that so many residents and tourists find attractive. There are other sites where a hotel might be appropriate, but right on Main St. is not the right place.

Opposed to Marriott Hotel in this location. It's unfortunate that a Nationally/Internationally recognized company can be so blatantly out of touch with local communities' town characteristic wishes. Why can't they foresee that it is better to work with locals to achieve a mutual agreement?

Aside from being a simply unspeakable affront to the Falmouth sense of community, and to our fragile, and evermore burdened natural environment, the building of this monstrosity, is in direct contravention to the spirit of Cape Cod Commission's law established goals. Obviously, corporate greed, and insensitivity to our town, and its natural environment lurk as the true motivations for this absurd project. The Cape Cod Commission, and our town selectman will go down infamy, should they be so blind as to approve the project!

The projected hotel is far beyond what is necessary and desirable. Both traffic and adjoining neighborhoods will be adversely affected with little to no benefit, financial or otherwise, to the town. Please reject this proposal.

This project is completely out of scale with the Main St, Falmouth, layout and history, and will be a traffic and visual problem. The "bridge over the small alley is particularly a bad and alienating idea

The building is way oversized for it's location and also covers a large percentage of the lot. The design is essentially ugly and does not reflect our historic town. I do not see the benefit to the town to allow a huge eyesore of a hotel that will sit empty for much of the year.
