There are no words to describe how poor an idea this is and it does not fit the character of our town

We did not buy in West Falmouth to see the wonderful town of Falmoouth become a wasteland of huge Hotels.

Falmouth has a nice rural character. Not many towns still have that feeling. Lets keep it that way.

PLEASE STOP THIS PLAN. Pretty soon we will look like every other vacation town on the main land. No place special. Just happens to be over the bridge... but no place special. Why visit? I already here from summer people that they are not impressed with downtown Falmouth because of the crowds. If a hotel is needed - move it out of town, like the Sea Crest, where the impact on local residents AND visitors will be less and drivers as well as pedestrians will be happier. I am not sure why this project has made it so far when other than the local government, the overwhelming majority of residents are against it.

I am a fairly new resident of Falmouth and I have been impressed with both the town and its residents. The addition of this new hotel would certainly change the character of this lovely downtown forever in addition to completely devaluing the properties on Lantern Lane. Please listen to your constituents !

What makes Falmouth special is being jeopardized daily. In one fell swoop, this development would lose the game.

I have been to meeting and as a downtown home owner I am truly concerned about and vehemently oppose the Springhill Suites by Marriott proposed for 556 Main Street.

Very few people are objecting to the addition of a hotel in Falmouth; almost everyone objects to a hotel on Main St. for a host of reasons, from the traffic congestion it will add to an already heavily-trafficked area to the scale of the project which dwarfs the surroundings to the destruction of the Lantern Lane neighborhood -- and the diminishing of the real estate value of families on that street. This project does not reflect the values of Falmouth, nor does it respect the character of our Main St., which we should proactively spread onto Davis Straits, and not the inverse in which commercial interests trump planning efforts and residents' wishes.

The proposed Marriott hotel is not compatible with the neighborhood nor the Town of Falmouth.

Residents and business owners of Falmouth have spoken out against this project and continue to reject it as not in line with the character of our town. We want our community to grow, but in a way that is both economically and socially sustainable. The Cape Cod Commission and Falmouth Selectmen should remember--we are the bottom line, not the dollars you are chasing here.

Working with the public, I hear so many people truly disliking this large corporate structure being plunked in our still quaint town. I believe Falmouth will do fine without having this large building built.

It will be destructive to Main St. and the center of Falmouth
