This letter says it all. We do want Falmouth to remain an appealing town. This project is counter to that mission.

The proposed hotel construction is a terrible idea, and one that adds nothing to the small town charm and local flavor to Falmouth.

Something more "quaint" to fit into Falmouth's main st. NOT a Marriott

The true beauty of downtown Falmouth is being ruined by the over population of ridiculous building projects. Three tire stores? Do you call this progress.

If we want to ruin the character of Main Street and the surrounding residential neighborhoods, this proposed hotel is a good start.

it's hard to believe that the CCC has not gotten the message from the people of Falmouth but in case not, I will send a separate email directly

The proposed project would fit the character of Kissimmee, Florida or RT. 9 in Framingham quite nicely but not Falmouth.

This is an important issue--will likely change the nature of Main St. Will obviously have an impact on the residents of Lantern Lane and the traffic flow in town. The impact this will have on all 3 areas--Main St ambience, the traffic flow, and the residents who abut the Marriot has not been explained well to the community. I have attended 1 meeting at the library and have been following the issue in the Enterprise. Based on what I have learned, the impact on all 3 areas is negative and the project is therefore not justified. I think such an important project needs a more complete vetting from independent sources and more discussion before moving forward. At present, based upon what I have learned, I oppose the project.

Let Marriot buy the Falmouth Inn and do some good for the town. The proposed site is a really bad idea. We need to spread the growth on Main Street to other area. By this time in the summer I do not feel Falmouth is our town but belongs to the Chamber of Commerce and the Main street merchants. Thank you, Patricia Halpin

Traffic #1. Terrible in the summer. Sometimes just as tough in winter. Do agree something needs to be done about that area. How about paving the street behind proposal of hotel. Back of hotel will not be an asset to their neighborhood.

For goodness sake's WTH is it gonna take for Town Hall or CC Commission to listen to us residents, the 1's who support this damn Town year round ... we've had several motels that have become havens for drug dealers & temporary housing in the off-season OR turn into time-sharing units ... do we REALLY wanna go down that same road AGAIN? This motel isn't gonna make it here unless it can survive on 3 mos. occupancy, which I doubt ... & Main Street doesn't need anymore traffic! Troy's article certainly points out that there seems to be deceptive tactics going on behind closed doors to get this thing approved ... WE ARE ASKING YOU TO PLEASE DENY THIS MARRIOTT ... #wedontwantit #wedontneedit

Pedestrian traffic across Main Street? Awesome, just like Walmart moving in to replace Bradleys. Small town atmosphere, who cares! Lets vote for McDonalds and Dunkin' in Woods Hole while we're at it!!!!
