Oppose the Falmouth Marriott

This huge, modern style building does not fit in with the simple, quaint charm of our Main Street village, which is currently thriving! This huge hotel will cause serious damage to our lovely downtown!

Marriot cannot b e successful if it ignores the will of this community. Respect for Falmouth is what is missing

No to another hotel downtown. Fix the ones already there.

This project is too large for the site & will create even more traffic problems in the downtown area. Please vote no on this project.

I chose to buy in Falmouth because of the quality of life it offers me. The area is far less congested than other areas on the Cape. Great thought has been given to preserving the Historical area and ensuring open space for all. The Marriott proposal is completely out of scale to the area. During the season parking and traffic are problems. This will worsen if this project goes forward.

Main St has become much less attractive due to the extra large buildings that have been built in the past 20 years. Another building that is too large will only make things worse.

This hotel would overwhelm the surrounding community, and severely impact the residents who live in close proximity. It cannot be allowed, if we, as a community, care about our neighbors.

You know the scale is wrong! You know the development is ugly and out of character with Main Street, Falmouth. You know it will have a hugely negative impact on lovely neighborhoods. You know we're opposed to this! No, no, no to this project.

If this goes against the town's own Comprehensive Plan and Business Redevelopment Bylaw, why is it even being considered?

This will not be good for the Town of Falmouth, either architecturally, culturally, or economic.ally.

a totally inapproiate thing to do on our already overcrowded Main St. I hope our Town has more sense than to allow it.

I love Falmouth and chose to move and work here in the early 1980s. I chose Falmouth for its beauty, history, and citizens who are clearly commuted to the quality of life here. The current plans for locating a huge in-town Marriott with accompanying parking are inappropriate and I'll-advised. A towering boxlike structure will change the landscape forever. Our already busy streets will be highly impacted. I worry what precedent its building would set for future development. I would welcome the Marriott if they would but choose a less central, more appropriate location. Thank you for your kind consideration.

Building project should be more in keeping with the small time charm and village feeling which is unique to Falmouth

Main Street in Falmouth does not need the added traffic from cars and delivery vans that will result from this. There are better uses for this property and I hope the town sees fit to look toward other options than this Marriott.

Without full disclosure of the Marriott’s entire plans for their project that may very likely encompass a much larger area of Main Street and entirely change the Cape Cod atmosphere of Falmouth’s Main Street into a large Marriott resort area, no informed decision can be made. We strongly urge you to consider holding off on any decision on this project until these questions have been fully explained and verified.

The building is too large and the process has been too devious.

the falmouth inn needs to be torn down, its got 2 access roads and would make a perfect location. Putting this project there , just a block down the road would be so much more appropriateaand do no damage.

I've been attending the meetings in Falmouth and think something would be appropriate in the space, but not this one, too big and intrusive and too much impact on Main and neighboring streets. It must go back to the drawing board.

i appose where they want it but if they want to take over the Falmouth Inn and make a Marriot, i am all for that!
