Main St, Falmouth is not an appropriate location for a large hotel. There are far better areas for this type of facility. If this project goes through it will ruin our quaint village. This has happened in so many beautiful towns and one by one all the historic buildings are eliminated. Main Street, Falmouth should be the home of boutique shops and small restaurants. Please stop the Marriott Project!

Are these people kidding? This is Falmouth, Massachusetts, not Hyannis, not Saugus, not Ogunquit, or any other large, over-developed part of New England. Besides, we are better than to plop some grotesque CHAIN hotel in the middle of a residential district! Out, out, Falmouth Hospitality or whoever the heck you are! You are about as hospitable as Norman Bates!

There is already a residential area established here that should be respected. The redevelopment of this part of Main St should include public spaces, shops and restaurants, not a monolithic hotel that the existing neighborhood opposes.

Please let some of the sweet little surprises on Cape Cod stay that way. There is no need for any hotel to horn in right there. The roads are already crammed around there. NO need for more traffic. Please don't!

We already have. There are so many drive through Dunkin' Donuts that people don't know what line there in while idling waiting for their coffee milk.

The added traffic to an already busy spot will add congestion that will turn people away. As a resident of East Falmouth I pick the times I will go downtown. With the advent of the Marriot Hotel and the added congestion it will bring I will probably not go into town for the entire summer!
The complexion of the downtown will be changed as the guest houses that make our town the quaint peaceful place that it is, will be forced out by a big giant.

This should fit right in with the new Town Fair Tire mega store, Walmart, McDonalds, Burger King, Subway, the 5 Dunkin' Donuts and 1 Starbucks drive "thru"s as well as the brand new mega CVS, The Christmas Tree Shop and the new Super Cumberland Farms across the street from the new park you're not even allowed to ride your bike through. I'm definitely against this development, but we're already so far over developed that it feels like water over the dam to me. If anything more traffic is better because it slows motorists down and makes it safer to ride my bike to work. You can't speed when you're waiting in the drive through queue at Dunkin' Donuts or when everyone is driving to what's left of the public beaches in Falmouth. It's really been over for a long time already.
