As a resident of Averill Park I strongly oppose the expansion of mines in our town. The expansion of mining has negative effects on ground water-we all rely on well water. Expansion of mining has costly environmental consequences. Do not allow this to move forward.

Please do not allow this expansion! The noise, dust & dirt levels are already high and anymore our entire area will be covered in the filth.

Our town should be more than many holes in the ground. Also, many have wells and do not want to lose access to our water supply. Being as we are confined to our homes due to the Virus our ability to come to a hearing is limited. This decision should be postponed until we can fully participate in the hearing..

The gradual conversion of the Hoffay Farm to a gravel mining pit over the last 20 years has fundamentally changed the character of this area. Further expansion will continue this degradation. The Town of Sand Lake has implemented Zoning laws to protect us and DEC must defer to the Town to determine whether this is permitted. Requiring a full environment review is essential
