Definitely oppose placing a shelter in the midst of the business district and in close proximity to the existing shelters. Would ask Alderman Clay to ask her fellow aldermen to consider having this shelter be located in their wards.

This community does not need a sixth shelter And the small businesses need an opportunity to continue to thrive. The proposed shelter Would displace many more people than it would have.

We need transitional supportive housing throughout the city. But this Wilson project is not the right location or model. Alderman Cappelman’s experience with an unsupervised shelter on Leland Ave (Heartland) is indicative of how this project can stress the community.

Opposing this transition. Does no good to do such a thing. Do you really think homeless tent people will go and breakdown their encampments! I an a native Chicagoan, born and raised on the west side and have lived in Uptown for 45 years. Changes for the better happened when Cappleman was alderman. Clay with her backing from Schiller will do absolutely NOTHING! Get your act together Angela.

Enough if enough. Start taking care of the residents and citizens of this country first. Poc and LGBT businesses are going to be lost abd the citizens of this country and of this city will be losing out. Time to take a stand.
