We, the undersigned, are totally opposed to the threatened closure of the Post Office in Long Lawford and the planned redundancies of the present staff. We demand that:
- The Post Office and the Co-operative society reconsider the decision to close Post Office facilities in Long Lawford
- Notices of redundancy are withdrawn pending further consultation
- We call for the continuation of Post Office facilities in Long Lawford and other areas in Rugby where closure is threatened, and for no Post office workers to be made redundant as a result of such closure plans

Despite protest by residents rbc keeps expanding Long Lawford. However they do nothing to maintain or improve facilities for the ever increasing resident population. Losing the post office will be very detrimental to the village
The village Post Office is an essential part of village life, and in Long Lawford, a growing village with various new estates, the Post Office will become ever more important. How can the Co-Op decide that the Post office is no longer financially viable. Surely the needs of the public are more important than mere profit! Shame on you.
This is a very important part of the village, I use thIs to collect parcels as I'm a full time working mum and it's easier to pick it up from the post office if the post man can't delivery it,
A Post Office is essential for Long Lawford as the elderly and those without transport face a journey into the centre just to buy a stamp, let alone other services.
We need this post office to stay open due to elderly people ,young families. And lots of residents of the village.
This is ridiculous when Long Lawford has just about doubled in the last few years

I am asking you to save the post office in LONG LAWFORD as I am disabled and I can't get to town which is the nearest post office to me the village need this post office MANY THANKS JEAN CLARKE
