Critical services should be funded first, then fund any other services. There are areas that can be cut. Not the other way around

With a budget as large as it is now, use a little ingenuity and find it there. No tax increase is needed.

Cut out frills like the pub at Cascades Park Gaines Street additions, sidewalks where residents don't want or need them!

The more we allow the city to tax us for unnecessary "services" and functions, the more they will continue to raise our taxes to expand. Unfortunately, Tallahassee has a gaggle of self-serving city commissioners who need to be voted out of office. When will the "low information" Tallahassee voting public wake up? Apparently, only when they lose their homes through confiscatory property taxes!

Our taxes are already higher than they need to be. Fund what is necessary first (e.g. police, fire, roads), then if there is anything left over, decide how to spend that. For example: Gaines Street is an extra, not a necessary, expenditure.

Not enough waste in government already? You want to add to it?

The city government leaders are killing us with their anti growth views. At this point I would be happy with stagnant vs. a declining economy

Seniors cannot afford more taxation. We pay enough with every utility, telephone, tags, licenses, gasoline, and property. We understand the need to occasionally increase taxes, but we do not see any attempts at reducing the budget. Let us first see a 27% reduction in the budget!

Property values will decline rapidly. I pay flood insurance and was accessed a homeowners fee increase of $300! No homes in the neighborhood are selling because of these fees! After all the good work/improvements done inside the city limits, I would hate to see it be for nothing! Homes won't sell, go into foreclosure or tax sale, then sell at auction for cheap. Who wins? Not even investors because rent will be more than people can afford. State employment is the number one employment in Tallahassee, and there have been no raises in 10/years! Last one didn't count because of mandatory payment into the retirement system. Find another solution!! Not on the backs of lowly state paid taxpayers!! NO, NO, NO!!!
