Such a tax increase will ultimately reduce property values.
Also it will cause rents to go up and harm low income families.

Seriously? Quit wasting money on frivolous things and pay attention to what the voters are saying!

We need to support law enforcement and that's the core function of government. Cut the green stuff and keep us protected. Refocus the funds where they should be and don't raise our taxes.

This detrimental suggestion will do harm to our economy. For families with median income and those on a fixed income this increase could make the difference between a monthly medication or a family meal. When are politicians going to put themselves in the shoes of us who do not have the advantage of their high incomes. They are supposed to be looking out for Leon county residents, raising taxes of any type with the economy in the state it is does not make sense for the average citizen.

I totally oppose this massive tax rate hike. Our taxes are high enough with county tax rate and gas taxes and high utility costs. This rate will devastate homeowners who are just squeaking by as it is. The increase is just too much.

My wife and I love Tallahassee and would like to retire here. BUT with the tax rate and the liberal commission for both the city and the county it is a "no brainer" to relocate and retire elsewhere. We are already looking! Spend your city into oblivion Tallahassee City Commission!

A 27% increase in our property taxes is way out of line and will not be tolerated! The citizens of Tallahassee should have a thorough review and comment over what is being proposed and a referendum to decide what is an acceptable use of our tax dollars.

With the gas tax increase, the proposed fire protection increase, proposed sales tax increase and now proposed property tax increase, I want OUT of Leon county and Tallahassee. Thinking of selling and leaving.

Homeowners should not have to pay this massive tax hike because of the actions of the few who are not homeowners. Stop this tax increase!

I do not want any tax increase on property. And I mean any. Just because there has been no increase on property doesn't mean we need one now. There have been other increases.

A penny saved is a penny earned. How about trying the first part of that equation before resorting to "earning" any more from Leon County residents?

How about we fix our current tax inefficiencies before we take more money out of the pockets of your hard-working citizens.

We spent $50 million on smart meters that aren't complete, $60 million on a holding pond, $6 million on a local "city" bar, and $6 million plus on a walk way over south monroe! Hmmm, I wonder why the city has no money for police officers?
