Oppose The Central at Memphis PD 20-14

this is a beautiful neighborhood with families that have lived there for decades. please do not build and destroy this neighborhood.

Please do not build~ this is an increidbly stable neighborhood with historic homes. Some families have been there for 70 years~

I own a home on Central close to Patterson - the current university traffic is already difficult, with many accidents occurring at the intersection of Central/Patterson. More traffic, as well as more congestion due to too many students living in dorms nearby, will negatively impact our neighborhood

as a property owner on the corner of central & patterson and 20 year resident of 3636 central, i feel it is extremely dangerous to bring the proposed influx of increased student traffic to this area...

Quite backward to be adding dorms and parking where all enlightened trends favor increased remote study and public transport

Will lower our life style and house values due to extra traffic!

U of M should move entirely to other side of campus near Highland

I am against any multi family or multi storied development residential or commercial on Deloach between central and poplar

I am opposed to the development of the dormitories.

No buildings on Deloach. Ruin the neighborhood.

I oppose this development. I live just across Poplar from the proposed location. The University's new parking lot already shines lights through two of my bedroom windows. This new and poorly thought out monstrosity will add stop-and-start traffic 24 hours a day where there is none now. This proposal does not fit into the residential character of its surroundings at all. Mr. Rudd and his seconds have dissembled and prevaricated in all their public statements to date regarding this development. The University has plenty of lands sitting idle that are better choices and actually fit in with Memphis 3.0. Mr Rudd and his associates should formulate a plan that actually meets their needs and the needs of their neighbors. If they feel they cannot, I can recommend a nearby academic institution where they may enroll to learn something useful.

We as a neighborhood completely oppose any development on Deloach Street between Poplar and Central. The UofM is anxious to develop this property b/c develop is cheap at the moment and regulations are relaxed. The main conflict here is the 2003 agreement that the UofM has with the surrounding area. The Uof M must find another location for their housing project. The area is zoned residental.

I live at 3858 Poplar and am opposed to this project, which will increase traffic and decrease property values in my neighborhood.

I strongly oppose this project as my family resides at 3858 Poplar and it will create extra traffic in our neighborhood and will destroy the character of our single family residential communities surrounding the proposed project, which will also tower over the homes on Patterson.

My wife and I adamantly oppose the University's project to build on Deloach. The Univ. needs to be a better neighbor and quit trying to destroy our neighborhoods. Why can't this go west of the campus in the area up to Highland, or on Highland? The Univ. is supposed to stay away from Poplar, yet that's where all their work is focused. This project will cause a huge traffic problem for Poplar [and therefore us neighbors], and will destroy 50 or more beautiful trees in the area. Worse, this will create a permanent eye-sore for the Poplar corridor. I can't think of one good thing to say about this project as planned! Martin Thompson

My husband and I vehemently oppose the multi-story building dorm project on Deloach. Please do not overwhelm our neighborhood!
