Ludicrous! Developers need to get PRIVATE funding! They stand to make Billions of dollars, & you're going to use OUR TAX dollars?? No. Just wrong.

Household property tax subsidies should be considered before we talk about private development subsidies?
Note: I am not suggesting that there should be household property tax subsidies, I'd rather see the money spend on libraries, parks, affordable housing, and other public needs.
But if the city has $278 million dollars to give away, let's prioritize households over private developments.

Insider trading! Uncool and disrespectful to the honest, hardworking, taxpaying citizens of Austin. I have been for 38 years! So many other projects that would help way more people who need help in our city! Bad Deal for Austin! Just Say No City Council! We are watching!

Please stop gutting the working middle class who have to ultimately pay for this. I’ll be 70 this summer, have planned to retire but am fearful that, even with my IRA and Social Security, I won’t be able to maintain my current level of living over the next 10 to 20 or even 30 years. Inflation, recession, etc., who’s helping us?
