While there is an argument to be made that financial incentives bring businesses to Austin, those very businesses the City is courting often result in rising costs for homeowners and small businesses, drive the necessity for expensive new infrastructure, deprive us of the green-space amenities that make Austin a nice place to live, and force out economically disadvantaged populations via gentrification. Please stop doing this.

No business needs any tax incentives to come to or develop property in Austin. They will develop here anyway.

Enough is enough. My property taxes go up while developers get tax breaks. It is time to stop this craziness.

Please reject the SCWF TIRZ . This is not the time for the City to be directing money to non essential projects. We are experiencing record crime of all types, increased numbers of homeless persons, deteriorating streets and roadways, reduced city services and longer response times from city agencies. Please direct your efforts and the taxpayer dollars to the necessities. I am not against high quality forward thinking development or developers making profit. I am against taxpayer money being utilized for the developments. Thank you for voting NO to the SCWF TIRZ.

Politicians have lost touch with how hard people work for their income from which taxes are taken. Because they themselves have either not known hard work or forgotten hard work, they see tax revenue as easy money. And when money seems easy, they spend it frivolously with little accountability. Please stop wasting our tax dollars on projects that have little to no benefit for the vast majority of Austin residents. Stop lining the pockets of those already well off by subsidizing their projects.

Build truly affordable housing and quit giving subsidies to developers who will do nothing for working Austinites

NO! Austinites do not want more of a concrete jungle making our beloved city like Anywhere,USA Our City leaders need to care for it’s core residents and quite bending for developers while we lose venues and green spaces that made Austin a destination in the first place.

I oppose this expenditure of my tax dollars.

Vote against giving a tax break to a developer who is not adding to the economy, but is also not meeting any meaningful goals for affordable housing.

No to funding developers with taxpayer dollars. Why not use some of this land for a second Zillker, instead of a second downtown?
