​Petition Opposing the ATX City Council Giving Away $278 Million in Our Taxes to Wealthy Developers

No more handouts. It is unnecessary, wasteful, irresponsible. How about spending this on emergency infrastructure in underserved communities? Or maybe better training/employees at the water treatment facilities???

Developers get away with too much in Austin.

Duh! Austin residents desperately need City-supported services for our libraries parks, pools, and housing. Endeavor does not.

I think the developers should pay for the infrastructure. They're going to make a lot of money on this project, and we shouldn't subsidize this project. They agreed to pay when this was first in the pipeline. No bait and switch should be done now. No to everyone who rents or owns or has a business in Austin to cough up money to subsidize their business.

The Taxpayers who are here already need more infrastructure..like keeping the lights on the water running clean. Taxes are for the general good, not free money for the developers of luxury towers

This is not the best use of our tax money. More input from Austin voters and less from businesses.

When will the citizens of Austin wake up to this city council’s corrupt practice of serving the interests of developers and large corporations ahead of those of the tax paying constituents who elected them. It seems that Austinites are complacently willing to subsidize unbridled growth and re-development with their tax dollars while unwittingly driving down quality of life and sustainability for themselves and future generations through the resultant additional strain on, or over-crowding of, our rapidly dwindling natural resources, public lands, transportation infrastructure and overburdened electrical grid. Water and electrical emergencies have become too commonplace in this city!

I don't support corporate welfare/subsidies for special interests/giving developers sweetheart deals. I want reliable water treatment plants.streets repaired/strong public safety departments (police/fire/EMS), etc.

We need more outdoor public space, not taxpayer funded private developments. Why not spend our tax dollars to purchase more public lands.

I am strongly opposed to giving big developers our tax dollars when so many in Austin are in need and affordable housing is just not available.

I am strongly opposed to using my tax dollars to help pay a big pocket developers increase there wealth and decrease the affordability for everyday people & increase our taxes at the same time.

Austin should not subsidize development in one of the fastest growing cities in the USA. If they want develop here, let them pay taxes like I do.

It's not a blighted area that wouldn't be developed without special funding. Also need the regulating plan so any and all entitlements are clearly spelled out and additional community benefits are derived.

Do NOT vote for the $278 million property tax subsidies to the private development company. Council should spend the money on helping the homeless, safety for Austin citizens, street repairs, sidewalk repairs, bike lanes and a host of other projects that benefit Austin citizens.

Leave green space alone. Support our parks and libraries and other sacred services. Keep developers from ruing what’s left of traditional Austin! And most certainly don’t use our tax dollars on these types of projects!!!!!!

So many better ways to spend our tax dollars than this.
