this is prime real estate, so there is NO need for special giveaways as you are not attracting... it is more about Keeping Austin authentic and running. Those who can afford to build like this, should pay for what they are buying. Taxpayers pay for enough strange agreements. This one is absurd! Wrong!

The green spaces near the bat bridge are part of what makes Austin a special and pleasant place to live for everyone. They want to build a super luxurious complex there that only the super wealthy can enjoy? They should AT LEAST have to pay for it and not be able to skirt regulations designed to keep the space nice and accessible for the community. I don't want to see the City Council enabling them to plunder our community resources for outrageous personal profit. I would rather see my tax money go to affordable housing, parks, and other public projects that help keep Austin a good place for people of all socioeconomic classes to live. These resources and the diversity of people are a huge part of what makes Austin a desirable city to live in in the first place.

Nate Paul is involved in this? Under FBI investigation for financial crimes? And our council wants to give he and the Cox Family and Endeavor our taxes. We need a whole new council.

This development will be successful without this huge tax drain. They even want to get out of park set-asides by making the "parkland" inaccessible to the public. Please follow the City's rules for development without a lot of variances and tax give-aways!

Stop voting liberal politicians ideas into office . Austin us the second coming of Cali, people leave unaffordable Cali , because they did not do their se search voted. Wrong peep into office , flee town Tx and bring the sane bs agendas!! Now Austin is as bad as Cali. Just saying put the right people in (reflection why they left that state,& maybe do not repeat sane mistake) ✌

The developers are getting rich here and don't need the subsidies. We are being strangled with property taxes. No subsidies for our waterfront

Although "TIRZ is often a successful tool to finance infrastructure improvements and encourage development IN AREAS THAT WOULD OTHERWISE NOT ATTRACT NEW MARKET DEVELOPMENT," according to Tx's financial seminar presentation materials, ATX Council is blantanly mis-using this financial tool by applying it to prime DT property developers are drooling over. No property tax incentive is needed.
Council members, including my own District 7 Leslie Pool are, at best, misleading constituents without explaining "city staff interpretation of law" historically has been used by this city as a thin veil to cover the nakedness of ATX council's obstinate political grabs for developers.
This old blunt gal, who is bending under the weight of Austin's property taxes, will call this Council move to shower property tax relief on the rich "bull...t."

I can’t believe you guys are giving away my tax money to wealthy land developers, instead of helping the thousands of people that are both chronically homeless and have recently become homeless due to Covid. Yes it’s important to have more housing, but I DO NOT SUPPORT MY TAX DOLLARS GOING TO DEVELOPERS, or any sort if corporations. Please PUT YOUR PEOPLE’S NEEDS BEFORE CORPORATIONS!!! You are supposed to be representing the PEOPLE who elected you. I’m so angry with you, and WILL NOT VOTE FOR ANY OF UOU THAT SUPPORT THIS.
