​Petition Opposing the ATX City Council Giving Away $278 Million in Our Taxes to Wealthy Developers

This is insane!!! Stop giving away TAXPAYER money & raising our taxes . Most austin residents will not benefit from this project in any way… we’ll just keep paying higher taxes! If the city has that much money to invest invest in hiring more police , fire men, provide shelter/ homes for the homeless, hire more social workers. Please stop this insanity !!!!!

I do NOT want any portion of my taxes going to this project. This should be on a ballot for citizens vote!

I oppose tax breaks for developers in particular using Austinites tax dollars to subsidize the south central waterfront development

Wed do not need more subsidies for private development and corporations. We need to spend our tax dollars to maintain what is still left of our quality of life.

City council has lost their damn minds. In a time that housing costs are at their peak, you don’t take money from hard-working people to subsidize the affluent. This is purely theft and doesn’t benefit taxpayers.

Isn’t it a violation of immigrant visa holders to receive taxpayer assistance? This would violate the terms of their immigrant or non immigrant petition with the US government doesn’t it?

This is bleeping ridiculous!! Let these folks finance their own development, so Council can use our tax money for things like education and public health and policing. Stop the Steal, in other words!1
