Either they can foot the bill themselves or they can just not build. Pick one. That would be justice. Are they building parks? No. Are they building public spaces that all can share? No. Then we shouldn't be paying for it.

Community services are what I want to see this money spent on. Parks, pools, libraries, water, bikeways. Let's invest in our community, not a wealthy developer.

The Austin American Statesman article in February 4, 2022 sums up exactly why this is unacceptable for tax payers to fund and is a huge boon to developers. Demand parks and public space from developer who will still profit in massive profits.

STOP giving rich people our money. We need it for infrastructure (new water delivery and sewer lines), parks, libraries, pools, etc. And with a Living Wage Law people could afford a place to live that their employer covers, no tax subsidy needed. Stop stealing our tax dollars to give away to your buddies.
