They are out of their minds!!! Shame on them. There are so many other critical needs that need the community’s attention: sex trafficking, drugs in schools, fatherless homes, abortion, illegal trespassing at borders, staffing, etc.

We should be charging developers for the right to build on valuable property, not paying their expenses. This sort of thing uses residents' taxes against them, making Austin more of a luxury economy with no place for middle and working class people.

There are far better uses for these tax dollars then giving them away to developers, If they believe that the plan will be profitable, let them move forward using their own financing. Personally, I'd prefer smoother streets, graffiti artists fined significantly, and all the homeless encampments removed.
