This is abuse of power. Since when has some of the most precious, beautiful slice of nature along the Statesmen hike and bike trail gone up for sale to the highest bidder not only depriving tens of thousands of Austinites and visitors access to this gorgeous stretch of land but then proposing that we pay for hundreds of millions of dollars that can go to the parks, pools, libraries, affordable housing (not high end luxury hotels). Please vote to support our city as a whole over the multimillionaire, billionaire developers who need no handouts.

Clean up our parks, our streets our crime. Open our pools. Nature trails, greenbelts, schools, safe streets, families ! No more crime, meth, homeless, degeneracy in our public spaces. Families first, future forward ! Less crime, less gay, less San Francisco problems, please !

When I first read about this deal, I could not even believe that it was being considered. Seriously? These developers don't need tax abatements to "improve the land" or whatever they claim they are doing. I am absolutely against the TIRZ they're trying to get through our Council. Say NO!

Tax payers in Austin continue to suffer the cost to live in this city while billionaire developers enjoy and benefit from millions of dollars of tax exemptions and reduced building regulations! Whose interests are you really supporting?
