Oppose the Airline Ban on Transport of Legally Harvested Animals

Airlines that have imposed transportation bans are clearly ignorant on the issue and confuse illegal canned hunting with ethical Sustainable Use, including legal hunting, which are fully endorsed by the IUCN

Am so pleased the airlines are banning the importation of hunting trophies. In this day and age there is no room for the hunters/ killers of the world who are decimating wildlife along with the poachers and criminal syndicates not much difference between them all . Conservation and hunting are diametrically opposed ideas you do not kill to preserve, Animals managed themselves very well long before humans arrived!! As for the hunters constant cry that they provide so much financial support to communities in Africa , 3% if that goes to the communities and that is sporadic, far better year round photographic tourism that provides jobs and income all year round. Eco tourism generates far more income than any hunter. There is no ethics, no compassion, no empathy, no conservation, just pure blood lust and thrill killing, time for them to evolve and get with the programme of modern thinking

I would like to thank the airlines for joining the ethical fight against a barbaric activity perpetrated by an extremely small percentage of the world's population. Trophy Hunting is not conservation but is actually contributing to the extinction of endangered species, it also facilitates an avenue for poached body part to be sold on the black market which funds terrorist groups such as ISIS.

Trophy hunting in the last few years has taken over 100,000 African wildlife close to the numbers that have died through poaching. The arguments for hunting as sport is a smoke screen for the sole purpose of allowing murderers and psychopaths to experience killing for the sake of killing. Hinting has irreversibly affected the gene pool and put at risk the survival of the species. Animals are worth much more alive to the economies of the countries than they are dead, this is proven on so many research and studies that to rebuke this fact would only mean that people who give the excuse of killing for conservation are only doing it for sick sadistic reasons. Trophy hunting is wrong at all levels of societies and the airlines keep the ban of transportations permanently.

These bans have to stay. It is 2015 and the majority of people are sickened by the idea of animals being slaughtered to massage the egos of some individuals who should really be receiving the pyschiatric help that they so clearly need. The world has woken up to the realities of trophy hunting at last; this is one genie that isn't going to go away quietly back into its bottle. The hunters may have browbeaten SAA into overturning their ban but we implore the other airlines who have acted in a decent and principled way by banning the carriage of trophies to hold their positions and keep the ban. There are some things that ARE more important than money.

Killing animals for sport is not evolving with the times and provides next to nothing for communities with all the corruption of higher ups lining their own pockets. If hunters truly cared about conservation they wouldn't have conditions by attaching a dead trophy to their actions. Paying tourists do not hold these conditions like trophy hunters. Trophy hunting money has yet to be shown to actually benefit the communities with facts and sources. Just hunters repeating what they hear or "opinion" pieces written from other hunters.
