The last thing we need is another storage facility. A new one was just built on Maynard Rd. with another one across the rd. from it.

No More Storage. If Cary thinks it's needed, then let them think of Something Else that is also needed! A park? public pool?

This request does not seem to be a real need and is not in alignment with community or town objectives as it relates to the development of downtown Cary.

No storage unit! There are enough within this area without adding to the already busy Chapel Hill Rd.

I am a real estate agent, and I've had clients tour and then walk away from the Weatherfield Townhomes (located directly behind the Uncle Bob's Storage facility at 160 Havensite Ct, just off Maynard Rd across from White Tiger Taekwondo). My clients stated to me that they didn't want to live near storage units (I can request a quote from these clients if desired). As a real estate agent, I believe that the presence of the storage unit facility makes Weatherfield Townhomes feel like they are in a "light industrial" area and that they are harder to sell because of it. (and here's a thought--anyone with access to Zillow and wakegov.com can investigate the sales prices of Weatherfield Townhomes and compare their sales prices and appreciation rates to other townhomes that are not burdened with siting near storage. I will do this via TMLS but if someone else wants to get started...text me 919-740-1601 and I'll provide you with the right criteria for running comps). One question...who is the developer? PLEASE pass the word...downtown Cary/inside Maynard is experiencing such growth (it's our version of "inside the beltline" and we all know how hot that area of Raleigh is)--Town Council Members, please don't mar Inside Maynard with something as "citizen unfriendly" as a storage facility. There are two storage facilities just around the corner so the rationale for another is weak. Instead, please install consider sidewalks on Maynard to help your citizens live, work and play Inside Maynard. And give us something to walk TO...not a storage unit facility!
