I am strongly opposed to the proposed change in zoning because I would like our neighborhood to remain residential. I trust our elected P&Z officials will do the right thing and unanimously vote NO.

I cannot believe that our P & Z commission would allow such a change to take place. This is a beautiful RESIDENTIAL neighborhood full of families with children. A commercial, for-profit entity has no place here.

We oppose this proposal and do not wish to have this rehab facility located within our neighborhood property limits.

SAY NO to commercial businesses operating in a residential zone. No reason to approve this amendment. Town has plenty of commercial zone property available.

I oppose commercial zoning in established residential only areas of Ridgefield.

" Using a large MLS dataset [we] estimate the impact of substance abuse treatment centers on nearby home prices and liquidity (as measured by time on market). We find that a neighboring treatment center is associated with an 8% reduction in nearby home prices, and that this discount is magnified for treatment centers that specifically treat opiate addiction (as much as 17%).-" - American Real Estate Society

It is wrong to arbitrarily change the zoning in a residential neighborhood.

A commercial drug and alcohol detox facility is a completely inconsistent use in this residential setting, which is also adjacent to a Little League ball field and an elementary school. I'm hopeful that the P&Z officials will exercise their judgment and wisdom to reject this zoning change.

If we don't oppose this then the next time we see a "for sale" sign in our Ridgefield neighborhoods, it could become a potential commercial facility or drug rehabilitation facility.
