I worked in the GDOC for years and I believe that transitional programs are needed. I do feel that these programs need more oversight than what I’ve read will be provided.

The Historic District must be preserved at all cost. It is in place in order to maintain a city's heritage. Otherwise, it becomes a monolithic conundrum.

There are plenty of vacant properties in areas already zoned to fit this need. There is no need to rezone a property and at the same time negatively effect a longstanding community.

I have six years in the mental health field. I’ve worked with many people, some just out of prison, to get them into transitional housing as part of their recovery from substance abuse or to get them into a stable housing situation until permanent housing can be found. What this woman is planning to do will serve absolutely no purpose other than to like her pockets. This is a very dangerous proposition not only for the members of the rawson circle community, but for the City of Albany as a whole. We should want better than this for our city. This is nothing more than grafting by a woman who is exploiting a population with no other options. The commissioners of our city (ALL of them because this can happen in other parts of Albany as well) need to send her a crystal clear message by voting NO.

This is a horrible idea. People have worked hard to make Rawson Circle area a beautiful neighborhood. The transitional center would cause a decrease in property values.

We, the remaining good residents of Rawson Circle, are doing the best we can to keep what we have left SAFE. Sadly we have to do it all on our own while shootings are still happening mere blocks away. There are many empty lots and locations that are owned by the city ELSEWHERE that can you can use. Stop trying to take away what we are trying to keep safe. If this happens, then you really don’t represent what/why I help vote any of you into office.

The Rawson Circle historic district has always been a neighborhood of well maintained lovely homes...now historic treasures for Albany. in the 1940s the devastation tornado destroyed a great deal of our older homes of character, please respect this area and keep it as a source of civic pride for Albany. It is a treasure for us all.
