Too much development already. Keep at least a little area of Cobb Co. green. Right now, it's starting to look like Roswell road!

Buy the green space. The voters voted to tax themselves twice for this. We should be preserving properties above the beyond the 40 million voted for

According to Zoning code, Ebenezer Road does not meet the minimum road requirements to allow RSL rezoning of this property.

I have lived off Ebenezer in Philmont Estates for 20 years. Our subdivision is comprised of single family homes built in the 1970's. Lincoln Drive is a dead end road. There was a property next to me of 3.2 acres that is parallel to the horse farm across from the property being discussed for zoning change. The 3.2 was bought by a developer, a cul de sac was put in, beautiful oaks were mowed down, deer are seen frequently in my yard, rodents of all sorts inundated us, a retention pond was put in which has increased the mosquito population dramatically. Guy is building 5 homes in the 500,00K range. The living level of these new homes look down on my roof, it's ridiculous and so far the builder cannot sell. I cannot imagine what the effect of this zoning would do to Heritage Farms and surrounding subdivisions. No, no, no zoning change in this area. Keep it R20 or R15.

More parks, less development. Ebenezer is way too busy now, let's not make it into a concrete jungle like the rest of Atlanta.

East Cobb needs more parks and green space. Let's save and preserve what is left.

I own property down stream of this development on Rubes Creek and am concerned of the effect this super dense housing will make on the ecology of the stream and make the risk of severe flooding worse.

NO! We do not want more traffic on Ebenezer. We have several vacant new homes surrounding the Ebenezer Road area and they are building more - we are already going to have a lot more traffic from these homes.

As a vetted property the County should make every effort to use Park funds to purchase this property. The proposed zoning does not "fit" the neighborhood. As an alternative, leaving the current zoning in place creates an opportunity for increased revenue for the county, as the proposed rezoning caters to the seniors who do not have to pay school taxes.
The proposed plan has too many consequences to list. But reduction of greenspace has environmental consequences, traffic will be even worse, and, in keeping with the law of unintended consequences, I'm certain at some future date the road will have to be widened to accommodate the increased traffic if this zoning is allowed. Please think long term for a change.
