Please don't change the zoning. It will decrease our property values and make the traffic worse than it already is. This is a neighborhood area with single family homes with kids.

I am opposed to the re-zoning of these land parcels. The traffic in our neighborhood will be increased and our property values will be decreased if this re-zoning is allowed. I strongly oppose this change.

We have lived in our home off Shaw Road since 1976. Please do not rezone any more land to be abused and spoil our nice area. The last development on the corner of shaw and Ebenezer is in a mess and an eye sour with the big retention pond that now is on that corner, and left without trees or even grass along this corner. the black fencing is still there inside the retention area and alomg Shaw Road. The homes are not selling because of the way they placed them on the land to get more homes on the property. Traffic now backs up on shaw Rd. and Ebenezer. It is sad they cannot at least take the area in mind and try to fit homes in instead of only using the land to over develop. I have recently seen deer on our road. It is sad they have no place to go. I travel Ebenezer every morning and afternoon. Getting through the school area is horrible. Sandy Planes is out of control with traffic backed up both ways morning , noon and afternoon and evening. Please take a look at the mess on the corner of Shaw and Ebenezer. I wish I had helped to fight that. I had no idea Cobb County would allow this property to be totally destroyed and made into such an eye sore.

The owners of the land WILL still pay property and school tax on that parcel . Those people 55+ you are referring to are we East Cobbers who have been here for 30+ years and helped shape East Cobb into the fabulous community is is today! The very East Cobb you now enjoy! We would love a close in option in smaller residences right where we have made our lives long before many of you even came here! We don't want to have to move to Canton and Woodstock. We have lived here longer than most of you and would like to stay! We won't over crowd schools and the traffic will be more manageable since retirees tend to travel during non peak hours. I for one am tired of all these young folks moving in here and demanding 55+ are not welcome. Look at that fiasco on Johnson Ferry south of Lower Roswell with that monstrosity built that has already caused multiple accidents and no one objected to that project since it wasn't 55+. Y'all are giving 55+ housing a bad rap and Im tired of it! We don't commit crimes, are quiet neighbors and have been longterm residence here! Please stop with the school tax thing. It isn't correct and even if it were we have paid in 40 years of taxes that have built those very schools of excellence you enjoy!

The proposed rezoning does not match or fit into our community. The land to home ratio is ridiculously. This proposed pancaked community will have many negative effects on the surrounding community's. Including traffic and environmental. Please reduce the amount of houses in this proposed community.

Please stop the over development of this area. We've seen a dramatic decline in wildlife (deer, rabbits) in just the last 5 years due to all the new construction and tear down of trees in this area.

Leave something beautiful for people to enjoy! If Cobb County needs property to build, buy the land with the houses that are in bad shape and use that land for new homes. Upgrade the property on Sandy Plains behind Arby's. We do not need anymore shopping centers or fast food places. The horses are beautiful let them be.
