Petition to oppose the Planned Unit Development-Conditional Zoning District (PUD-CZ) at the intersection of Laura Duncan and N. Salem St. in Apex, NC

I do not want this apartment complex in my neighborhood

Apex has done such a pathetic job of managing new development and the influx of incoming residents. This is not why many people want to move to this area. Look at the recent rezonings/subdivisions they have allowed. Does not instill confidence in me that the product there will be a good decision. PUSH BACK NOW! Once the developers have their foot in the door it’s too late!

I agree. Stop this development. The existing infrastructure in this neighborhood can't support an additional 200 residences, and the schools can't absorb the additional students.

Increased traffic in the morning increases risk for the children walking to school

No new apartments or housing developments should be built until the infrastructure can support the additional units, especially the already overcrowded school. Traffic is already congested in this area.

We do not have the road infrastructure to support all these people.

On top of the current traffic that is already congested, the development plan has no plan to improve the infrastructure. Also, it is one thing to add townhouses to relieve housing shortage, but it is another thing to built rent-able only units which only lines up the pocket of the building owner.

Traffic is already quite busy; development isn’t in keeping with the nearby owner occupied structures.

Water Easement run off issues will flood houses in Cary and the privately owned run off pond in Laurel Crossing.

This will cause too much traffic and congestion. Townhomes or single family detached houses would fit with the surrounding area.

200 unit apartment complex is too much for this tract. I'd be okay with a responsibly planned townhome development with green space

I strongly disagree for further crowding on this part of Old Apex, Laura Duncan & Salem Church Street.Its already night mare and the traffic is crazy and with more units around will cause more noise, heavy traffic and safety issues as my backyards faces directly to the road and it's awful ! This is really ridiculous and will cause more problems.

The over-building going on in Apex is out of control. Traffic is already frightening. Infrastructure is not keeping up with the needs of Apex’s residents.

200 units in this space will create an abundance of road congestion on already busy town/city roads, negatively impact the experience of nearby communities, and reduce overall quality of life for those in neighboring areas.
