Petition to oppose the Planned Unit Development-Conditional Zoning District (PUD-CZ) at the intersection of Laura Duncan and N. Salem St. in Apex, NC

Traffic concerns at an already bad intersection, Laurel Park and Ellington Place communities already cannot turn left during peak drop off and pick up times at the school. Adding 400+ more vehicles will create a gridlock. There's also not enough space for 150-200 unit apartments parking. We're going to need a light at our Ellington Place entrance because once that land is developed people will be parking all through EP (which they're already doing every day). Water runoff concerns, noise, crime. Traffic, all problems, nothing good coming from this for existing, hard working tax po payers in these neighborhoods.

This building project is foolish.

The mass development on this property should be reevaluated due to safety concerns in regards to traffic & due to the close proximity of the school. A much smaller project should be considered with less traffic.

For the safety of the residents and community, the proposed plan is not good idea and I don’t support.

I am adamantly opposed to the building of apartments at intersecton of Laura Duncan and Old Apex Road.

The Apex traffic is already a nightmare in that area we don’t need to add more homes. There are not enough schools or teachers with the population we have now.

I am completely opposed to a multi family complex in our neighborhood.

300 extra cars (for the 200 units as proposed) at that intersection would be a traffic disaster for small children walking to school and daily commuters.

We cannot handle an apartment complex this size at that intersection. That has far too much traffic since adding Costco. This would severely detrimentally impact traffic patterns and property values.

I'm signing this petition as I believe the development will dramatically increase traffic and create massive congestion, will put the lives of children walking to school at risk, and will devalue the surrounding communities.

Cary is already developing too fast for infrastructure accommodation, school capacity, and for maintaining the ambience of the area. I have seen the negative effects of rapid development in California and Brazil first hand: traffic problems, school overcrowding, increasing crime, and rises in the costs of living. Please slow down on development and keep the charm of living in Cary.

No details regarding several items. Traffic (school and other daily traffic currently a concern), changes in regards to Taxes to handle additional education, sanitation, police, water, etc. Apex had a drought 2009 - what water enhancements have been made?

Traffic safey is a major concerns at Laura Duncan and Salem/Old Apex.
