One of my biggest reasons for moving here to Indiana was my freedom to homeschool my son with little to no interference from the government.

Homeschool is parent funded, parent directed, and home based. I do not want any help. It is costly but nothing worth having comes for free. I am thankful that the government acknowledges my right to educate my children the way I believe is best. I appreciate all those 20th century homeschool "pioneers" who helped the US return to its biblical foundation of parents, not the state, directing their children's upbringing and I will not do anything to jeopardize this freedom. I don't want any help.

Home schooling is the right of every parent and needs no government intervention or intrusion. Statistics, and scores, show those educated at home are more prepared for the world than those educated by the public school system. Keep your hands off my kids and stay out of my home too!!

Thank you, but we will pass. The homeschooling community is thriving and we are not in need of government monies. I say this as a mother who homeschooled for eight years as an impoverished single parent. Homeschoolers take care of our own and when a family is in a tough financial position our community provides the support they need to get through. I am a living testimony to that fact. While we appreciate the concern and offer for help it is simply not needed and therefore poses an unnecessary risk to the liberty of future generations of home educators. It goes without saying that those futures are of the utmost importance to us since they are our very own children! Please honor our community by helping us remain independent of government interference.

Been home schooling for 25 years found its the hard work and parental interaction that makes it succeed. We don't need government red tape to make it harder.

We are fortunate in the state of Indiana to have the freedom to choose curriculum & teach our children in a way that best suits their learning style & eventual career goals. Homeschooling opens the door wide for hands-on learning, one on one instruction, individualized lesson plans, learning in the field, & so much more that public & traditional private schools simply can't provide especially on a daily basis. To put it bluntly, no amount of money, credits, or vouchers is worth the possibility of losing this or any other freedom we currently have homeschooling.
