The best thing that government can do for homeschooling families is to leave them alone. I am a public school teacher with 41 years of experience and know a number of home school families and students. Homeschoolers are far out in front of their public school counterparts academically and socially.

If government wants to help homeschoolers, an increase in homeschool tax deduction would be helpful. Otherwise, do not interfere with a good thing.

Abraham Lincoln was homeschooled. Why mess with a good thing? Homeschooled students are educated for life...not programmed by common core to perform long enough to test.

I'm thankful for the homeschooling freedom we have here in Indiana. Just as each teacher has a different way of teaching, so does each parent. It is important for the parent to be able to pick curriculum or methods that work for their children. They can greatly individualize their children's education. Parents are more likely to have a greater interest in their children's future than those that are not tied by blood.

Interested in keeping current homeschool regulations, of which, are up to individual(s) who homeschool--not the government.

Not in favor of receiving government funds. An increase in homeschool tax deduction would be helpful.

HB1591 will cost $400M and encourage some to home school when they aren't equipped to. This

I homeschool because all children are unique. I want to keep my child's education unique and I'm willing to pay for it myself to maintain that right.

Keep government out of our homeschooling. it is our legal right to homeschool the way we see fit not the government. Homeschooling works so leave it alone!!!
