I'm a home school dad, and my son just got accepted into IU's Physics program. We're good- we don't need the "help" from this intrusive bill.

There is no need for government involvement in homeschools. This is the reason we homeschool: Because we don't like how the government handles the public school system.

As a nine-year public school teacher, and now five-year home school teacher, I strongly oppose HB 1591's Education Options Account (EOA) plan. I have seen what works in education and what does not. Government assistance and regulations have no place in home education.

Please don't try to mix public school with home education. We don't want any help from the government. There is nothing broken in the homeschool community. If the public schools have problems, don't punish the homeschool families in the process. Please allow us to educate our children without government interference.

If families wanted their children to learn state curriculum, they'd send them to public schools. You are all about school choice unless it's not choosing the governmental supported schools.

As a parent who has homeschooled for 18 years one thing I value most is the ability to choose the curriculum and have the freedom to teach in the way that my child learns. My son is a 2nd semester college sophomore who scored high on ACT, was awarded academic scholarships and who is on the deans list having made straight A's this past semester. Homeschoolers don't need you money except in the form of tax credits for the $ we do spend on curriculum and private classes. Thank you.

Keep government out of homeschooling and help parents keep their rights to homeschool . I know for a fact that homeschool works because we homeschooled our daughter through A Beka and she graduated with honors.
We DO NOT WANT COMMON CORE in the homeschools. That is a horrible curriculum and part of the reason we pulled her out and homeschooled. I worked in the schools before and after CC and it did nothing but destroy education and the students that had to use it.. It is AWFUL
Thank you for listening
