My family and I cherish the education we are able to provide at home to our children. As a former public school teacher, I can honestly state that my children are learning way more at home than they would have using the public school curriculum. In addition, homeschooling has allowed me to focus in on some of my children's personality, behavioral, and spiritual needs and development. Please, Indiana state government, lead the way for unimpeded homeschool education!

Government doesn't need to decide what's good learning material for our children. The whole reason I homeschool, is because I do not agree with what is taught in public school!

I'll take tax credits but no tax payer funded redistributed monies. The reason we home school is to keep the bureaucratic governmental mess from effecting our children's educations. HB 1591 is not what we want and is in effect using our monies to bribe us to submit to government oversight that we're not interested in. No to HB 1591!

Public school was a disaster for us because the curriculum did not work for our daughter. The freedom of unregulated homeschool allows me the ability to teach her the way that works best for her. The freedom of unregulated homeschool allows parents to seek medical attention for their children where public school hours could pose a problem.

While homeschool and private school families save the government tens of thousands of dollars over the academic lifetime of each student AND that a little compensation would be helpful, I do believe believe the cost of government supervision and mandates is worth it. Vouchers only end up hiring in this case!
