I have homeschooled for over 20 years without any help from government. I do not want this. Funding means we will be told what to teach. No thanks.

Pleased vote no for this bill. The bill adds too many requirements that actually decrease the learning process of the students. Each private school works best and each homeschooled child has different needs, and this bill would make it more difficult to teach to student needs.

We value the responsibility to fund and direct our children's education. ESA's/EOA's will lead to regulation, and higher taxes.

We homeschoolers do not need EOA/ESAs. We, not the government, know what is best for our children. When government grants money, there are strings attached. It may start with small requirement, but it always leads to big regulation.

As the parent of my children I am their greatest advocate. I want nothing more than to see my children succeed. I want nothing from the government when it comes to my homeschool. I have raised two adult children who were homeschooled all the way through. They have consistently made A's in college. They have also made the dean's list every semester. My daughter has a 3.97 g.p.a. and has won awards in her program. This was all done with no government involvement.

We want to keep the freedom we have. Government involvement in homeschooling doesn't help homeschooling, it adds unnecessary regulation. It drives up costs. It doesn't allow parents the freedom to pick and choose what is best for their child. Homeschooling should cost money from parents so they're determined to do well with the task. People who invest money will invest their heart too. The child is loved more by the parent than the government, so the parent is the person who should be choosing the curriculum, for the child, and the rate at which they learn it.

No one loves our children or has their best interests in mind more than we, their parents, do. This is part of what motivates us to provide them with an excellent education. Homeschoolers have proven time and time again that we educate our children well and do not need, or want, the interference of the state or federal government.
