Oppose Location of Substation, Towers, & Powerlines

If the new construction included burying the transmission lines, I would be more likely to support this project in the future.

The implication of this site selection by PNM and application for amendment to the Sector Plans and special use exemption for a substation is that the new proposed location for towers and powerlines will impact many residents on NAA and Sandia. Residents are unaware this application will result in powerlines in next to their residences and in the community. I urge the Bernalillo Country Planning Commission to reject this application. There is lack of disclosure and awareness of the power line placement directly resulting from approving the application for this location and therefore clearly no community acceptance from the resident of the regions impacted.

I’m against this as it’s purpose serves residents farther in vicinity, devaluation in property value ,destroys the beautiful landscape and has major concerns for health and safety risks.

Paseo/Lowell site is the wrong place for this project. Nearly all the growth and higher electricity demand comes from the western, northwestern, and southern portions of NAA and surrounding communities, where higher-density housing and businesses are concentrated – all high electricity usage. NO SUBSTATION AND NO TOWERS ALONG PASEO/LOWELL TO TRAMWAY. PNM was also not transparent with affected residents. Postcard notifications went out only after the site was chosen and County application submitted – leaving affected residents with no real opportunity to provide input or oppose the project.

PNM irresponsibly chose a less practical path for the power lines based on input from only one affected party.

I strongly oppose the plan to place power lines along Tramway. PNM wrongfully chose this option without informing us. The route west down Paseo to Eubank affects fewer people in a lesser way.

We oppose the power station at Paseo del Norte and Lowell

We are definitely opposed to the building of the substation at Paseo and Lowell.

Any explanation from PNM that why affected residents are excluded ?

We oppose the Paseo/Lowell substation and massive powerlines through far NE NAA and Sandia Heights. The residents up in far NE NAA and Sandia Heights were completely unaware of the plans and NO effort was made by PNM or by NAACA to communicate the proposed plans until after the decision was made to endorse the project. The proposed project will damage views, reduce property values, and unfairly burden our community for enormous growth occurring to the west and northwest.

Please don’t do this to us. We’ve worked hard and built a community that takes care of each other. . We’re hard working and mindful good human beings. Please give peace

Our neighborhood is more sparsely populated and also has a higher percentage of homes that have installed solar panels, decreasing the amount of strain our neighborhood puts on the power usage in the area. It is unfair to burden our far northeast community without proper notice.

Sandia Heights residents and residents along the path of the proposed substation and power lines appear to have been intentionally excluded from this decision process so that it could be railroaded through the approval process. I appose this action.

Homes on Tramway should not have the lines and 90 ft towers over a park, walking trails and homes. Find another route for these structures.

Large number of homes along the Tramway path bear unfair burden of high voltage lines overhead and near overhead.
