Oppose Location of Substation, Towers, & Powerlines

I oppose construction of this tower because of negative impact on scenery and house values.

This should never be permitted. We are particularly affected as an adjacent lot owner on Palomas (Lot 21 Block 2 Tract 2 Unit 2 NAA). Think of all the homeowners who built their dream homes with views to be ruined by the Substation. We had planned to be one of them and this will destroy that dream as well as making the lot unsellable

Do not approve Zoning change

Vehemently oppose this proposed PNM substation for all the reasons stated in the petition..We who own property right near the site have NEVER received any mailings about this!!! This substation should be built at the original proposed site ( Paseo and Eubank) near the water tower.

I am a native resident of Abq and my wife and I have lived in NAA for 32 years. 25 years ago the NAA Sector Development Plan was developed, For the last 24 years the NAACA and NAA residents bonded to protect the NAA community. The NAA residents are still fighting to protect the Sector Development Plan, the SDP is what protects the NAA residents properties and their rural community. It would be an absolute travesty for this massive industrial electrical substation to become the face of the NAA community. Please do not allow this.

I oppose PNM's proposal for a substation within the NAACA sector plan. The proposed land use would be significantly harmful to adjacent property, the neighborhood, and the community. Property values would decrease, health and well being would decrease, and it has already split the community and frazzled residents to their core. The substation would not enhance quality of life. It would be a detriment to the community and it's residents.

Oppose the proposed Tramway PNM transmission lines

Bernalillo County Planning Commission Members and County Commissioner(s), restore trust in the Sandia Heights and far northeastern North Albuquerque Acres communities that you safeguard and represent. Reject this unsubstantiated PNM proposal based on flawed public scoping, rejected economic factors, and biased 'prudent avoidance' criteria. Placing high voltage transmission lines and 90' towers along east Paseo del Norte and south Tramway Boulevard would be a gross disregard for the permanent residents of these effected neighborhoods and for the greater Albuquerque Metropolitan area. PNM's hired consultant recommended substation Site 9 with transmission lines down Eubank Boulevard as the most feasible solution to NAA energy needs. Direct residential impacts would be minimal as compared to other alternatives. Stay the course with this action. Sandia Heights will follow with their support.

PNM hired consultants to determine the best route, and that was the original Paseo-to-Eubank route. The PAID for an objective, analysis. They then abandoned that recommendation because of a noisy group of NAA residents. This is shameful behavior.

The North Albuquerque Acres Community Association (NAACA) and their BOD have been untruthful and deceptive while trying to push their plan through. It is shameful the way they are disregarding the well-being of many to protect the few that they are loyal to. They don’t want the transmission line to take the more logical Eubank route, so they exaggerated the dangers to people in that direction, yet they think it’s perfectly fine for a greater number of people to be exposed to the same dangers along their mandated Tramway route. This project must not be approved! Furthermore, PJ Valencia, NAACA’s president, and the other BOD members should be investigated and removed from leadership positions.

This project was proposed a few years ago by PNM to amend our Sector Plan and was denied by the Bernalillo County Planning Commission at that time. PNM should be forced to purchase lots zoned for this type of development instead of lots zoned for residential. The substation should be located in an area that is seeing development of high-density housing northwest of Paseo Del Norte and Wyoming to I-25. The proposed site of the substation makes no sense because of the low population density of the area. I am opposed to the site of this substation.

I very recently was told by a neighbor about the project and was surprised I had not heard of it! I am totally against the project and feel I was intentionally not notified!

I oppose this monstrosity at this location.

I don’t understand why the lines can’t be near a child care or church facility. Those buildings are not inhabited 24/7 like a house is.

Please do not proceed with this proposed project!

I oppose the Power lines in Sandia Heights.

There are several better options for locating a new PNM substation. The people weren't included in the decision process. Albuquerque residents wouldn't approve of this blight on our beloved foothills and the Tramway walking/biking path. This plan hurts the people, homeowners, and also the wildlife. The fire danger being so close to the national forest is unwise. This project should not move forward as currently proposed. Locate it where the growth has been and is happening, not in Sandia Heights and not on Eubank.
