Oppose Lincoln Expansion and Save Our Playground

thy need to make the Lincoln distict smaller expansion not the answer. end Lincold district at Armitage

I don't think this is the answer to Lincoln's overcrowding problem.

One again CPS is spending millions: They could hire at least 200 more teachers for that money.

build the school expansion in the middle of the district, or redistrict the area and do not take away the playground.

Being a graduate of this place, I loved the playground and the an expansion would destroy the beauty of little Lincoln

They should be embarrassed and ashamed. A school gets help because of its neighborhood.... Not because they NEED IT!???

Public schools used to be neighborhood schools where children could walk to school. I believe the current boundaries of Lincoln are among the largest in the city. Shame on the privileged folks fighting to push this expansion forward thinking that if they just whip out their checkbooks and pressure the politicians who have their own agendas they can get their way like spoiled children, while the children in underprivileged and deprived neighborhoods where the schools and teachers are in need of most of the resources and materials currently provided at Lincoln are forced to just make do.

The proposed expansion of Lincoln School with an annex constructed over the existing playground is a inexcusable. Until late September of this year we lived, for over 19 years, directly across from that wonderful schoolyard and marveled at its function not only as open space for the children to spread their wings during the school day but also as a “town square” for the neighborhood seven days a week.

I moved across the street in January and literally the first I heard of this was when the decision was made. How were we not included in the debate? Traffic is already a big issue in the neighborhood and the playground is used as a buffre for over 100 students in the afternoon.
