Our system for shared housing has not been disruptive to the neighborhoods and should not be categorized as a nightly rental.

Keep working. As 2016 President of Lake of the Ozarks Board of Realtors, I have a seat on Diane Franklins committee. I agree this agenda is being driven by Expedia and TriCounty Lodging. It needs to stop.

I oppose any new legislation regarding taxing home rentals. I oppose all legislation that imposes new regulations on home rentals.

I've been in contact already with commissioners and reps., as a homeowner who is currently experiencing the pleasures of someone who bought a home in our neighborhood and started renting it out nightly this fall I think if the home is zoned and taxed residentially it should be a residence, not a hotel.

Please consider getting input from the homeowners; this is taxation without representation; these homeowners pay all of the same taxes as full timers but cannot vote!

Diane and Rocky are catering to the lobbyist instead of their constituents.

If some legislation is passed to ban vacation rental homes and condos, many people will incur financial harm and I will gladly become a member of the class action lawsuit. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the actual/compensatory damages to be awarded to the prevailing plaintiffs could be trebled (tripled) because the defendant(s) willfully caused the damages.

I can see this may happen in Cuba but you should not try to take away our rights when it comes to our own homes in the USA.

Why would this even be an issue?

My house caught fire. If it weren't for someone opening up their condo for me temporarily. So that my family can rest easy while our home is being rebuilt. We'd have no where to go.

Vacation home rentals are the cornerstone of our economy at Lake of the Ozarks. Regulations and more taxation will jeopardize the livelihoods of so many. Lobbyists and politicians need to leave us alone and allow this industry to continue to thrive. Why are all of our politicians on the side of the lobbyists? When will they fight FOR us rather than try to sneak in legislation that will do irreparable damage to our local economy?

This is wrong! Homeowners should have the right to rent their home!

It should be the right of the owner to produce income from their real estate by any legal means, unless under a private neighborhood/condo association agreement that was put into place prior to the sale of any property within it

Thank you for your hard work. These new taxes and regulations would definitely hurt the local economy.
