I completely support our right to rent our houses as we see fit.

Please protect our lake economy and oppose this legislation.

I oppose HB608 because of the significant damage it would do to the economy and therefore, lives of thousands at the Lake; not only property owners/renters, but all the businesses that are supported solely by tourism! This is just greed and power, and lack of integrity, by the lawmakers we put in their jobs; who are supposed to be working for us. What a travesty. Washington swamp comes to Missouri.

If this bill passes I know tons of people will sell their lake properties. Truly sad. We will have to move to Oklahoma or Texas lakes.

I oppose HB608 because it claims to be protective of vacation rentals but it actually defines us as a new class of property and then gives every regulator, like the fire dept., water dept., city, county.... the statutory power to regulate us! It will open the door for all sorts of regulations which will be awful for homeowners like me and awful for the Lake of the Ozarks economy. Is this the way Missouri politicians want to treat homeowners who are drawing many many tourist to Missouri?

This could be a good law if it was amended to actually protect vacation home owners. To do that we need a bill to prohibit all current and future bans and prohibit any regulation that treats vacation home rentals different than other residential property. This is a bill that actually facilitates banning and regulation of vacation homes. It is not protective.

I have been renting Condos for over 15 years. This legislation will kill my business!

Please do not pass this. We rely on vacation rental listings to book our condo.

Unbelievable we rented other owners condos for 12 yrs at lake of the Ozarks before buying our own. The 3 hotels at lake of the Ozarks all own condo's they rent out. The condo we bought as a rental only!! We bought at a condo complex that would renot nightly. This income is our rental income coming in to help our retirement. The state of Missouri taking our income source away after it being legal at the time of purchase should be illegal. You also will crash my Condo price. There is not one hotel we would ever ever have stayed at the lake!!!! You are going to steal millions and millions from the lake!!

Please help stop this Bill. The Lake economy depends on this Bill being stopped.

I currently have a rental propert in Sunrise Beach. I already pay a lodging tax rental income tax to MO as well as property taxes. Seriously, can you really consider additional taxes on us poor homeowners to benefit the motel business? I may be forced to sell if this bill is passed! Please do not allow this bill to pass!

What happened to fair competition? Screw the little guy right? I strongly oppose this legislation.
