As a 62 year old glaucoma patient I’ve so far been able to avoid surgery. With partial vision loss in one eye I want to have as many safe, effective options as possible. Medicare coverage can mean the difference between sight and blindness for so many patients. With most glaucoma patients over 65 and/or members of minority communities this short-sighted Medicare change limits access to sight saving healthcare.

Please do not change coverage of MIGS - this is not "cosmetic", this is sight for all glaucoma patients.

Keeping a procedure as an option will decrease the number of people with glaucoma from going blind. I would imagine the care a blind person needs over many years costs more than any MIGS.

Allow physicians and experts to make these decisions, not bureaucrats concerned with profits over people.

What is more important saving money or saving vision for people that can still be productive members of society.

I am a glaucoma patient. I would like to have access to this surgery when I need it. Why does it seem that with all the technology in this day and age that we are going backwards? Please keep this surgery available to Medicare participants and anyone else!

Why would Medicare do this?! Yeah, I know…it’s all about saving money…in the short term.

Please keep this sight saving surgery covered by Medicare!

This is a form of discrimination. Not to mention that it would force patients to endure much more costly and risky operations. The new laser technologies and other MIGS that work at much less cost to the insurance companies and lower risk to the patient. If they done early enough can prevent sever destruction of the optic nerve and loss of vision. It is not a logical decision to limit or disqualify these forms of treatment.

Please do not limit treatment options for glaucoma patients.

PLEASE, these procedures are greatly needed by many in danger of blindness!

I have a close friend who has benefitted from the MIGS procedure. Non-coverage would severely impact her treatment options.

Please don’t stop this important coverage for glaucoma patients. If it was your mother that couldn’t afford it and could go blind would you work harder to make sure it’s covered. It might even be you someday.

MIGS are good for patients. Invasive later stage treatments are a backward step

This is an important issue because so many administrators believe glaucoma is a one size fit all. If we can obtain less invasive procedures, why not?
