New to the area and already know that it is difficult to exit Beverly Crest. I can't imagine added traffic to Providence Rd. I was drawn to the neighbor as it is right now, not with a daycare on top of an already congested intersection.

The increased traffic on Providence Road will have a negative impact on the Beverly Crest community but impact the already congested traffic flow on Providence Road.

As other have said previously, this will add more traffic to an already congested area and will lead to increasing accidents, lowering the value of the neighborhood.

In addition to the added traffic to this already congested area, there is already a day care facility within the Beverly Crest neighborhood properly located at a traffic light that does not cause congestion.

Providence Road is already too busy and dangerous! The intersection of Providence/Pineville Matthews Rds is already #3 for the number of accidents from 2011-2013. The decision to allow this business to open without the creation of additional lanes and traffic signals would be insane. But we know Charlotte City officials are not going to spend more money on traffic safety. They just want the tax revenue.

Providence is a busy enough street as it is and is getting worse with all of the building occurring south of 485. This business would add to the congestion.

To put this business or any business on Providence road would overload the traffic in the morning and evening commute. Providence Rd. is already very congested this close to the intersection of Providence & Hwy 51 in the morning and evening. This change would add gas to the fire.

The proposed rezoning from residential to commercial use is a clear endangerment to the quiet enjoyment of property owners in the Saintfield area. It also creates the following problems:
1) Additional Hazardous traffic conditions to an already dangerous section of Providence Road.
2) The inability of left turns, in or out of the proposed facility will cause hundreds of cars to cut through Beverly Crest, primarily Saintfield.
3) There is no need for this facility other to benefit the petitioner, and only the petitioner at the detriment of 200+ people in the neighborhood.
In Summary: This proposed rezoning from residential to commercial is unwarranted; unnecessary and extremely detrimental.

We do not or want this extra traffic in our neighborhood. This area is already busy enough and there is a day care center already in place at the other end of Beverly Crest.

This day care proposal is grossly over-ambitious. Providence Road, which already has more than enough traffic, would become heavily congested going both north and south during rush hours and beyond. There are already day care centers in the area, including a large Childcare Network at Sardis and 51. Trying to squeeze 185 children (again way too ambitious given competition from other nearby schools and day care centers) plus staff into a lot this size would be like cramming 200 plus sardines in a small can. This plan should be rejected. The developer needs to scrap this entire project and go back to the drawing board. I could see a modest number of town homes or single family residences on this lot, but not a large day care center.

Not consistent with the all residential nature of the neighborhood all along Providence Rd from Rt 51 to Rea/Alexander. Dangerous U-Turns already made at site. No traffic light at the intersection. Already almost impossible to make a left turn onto/off of Providence Rd during peak day care traffic times.

Size Matters! This proposal does not fit the neighborhood nor heavily congested Providence Rd. If I had young school-age children, I would be extremely concerned with the surrounding traffic, number of traffic accidents on Providence Rd. and how this impacts the saftey of children and staff attending Kiddie Academy. The situation will be made much worse by the two major developments on Providence Rd., south of I-485. What will the impact be then? Surely there is a better, safer location for this proposal.

The parcel is small, so the children attending will be very close to a major road. Not wise from a safety perspective. Furthermore, in addition to exacerbating traffic issues for neighborhood residents, the inevitable pick-up/drop-off line onto Providence Road will create a choke point on a major traffic corridor into the city (Providence Road/NC 16) and potentially onto NC 51 as well.

This proposel will take a very bad traffic situation and make it even worse. Also do not forget to throw the new homes into the mix. Put in a light, And rezone that land.
